Starting school represents for many children the first real separation from the family environment and an important change in their daily life. Precisely because of the delicacy of this moment, our school pays great attention to the integration phase, so that the child can approach the new environment gradually, calmly, and respecting their own pace. In the first days of attendance, a reduced schedule is planned, which will be progressively extended in the following days. Initially, the child will spend a few hours at school to become familiar with the spaces, teachers, and classmates.

Gradually, lunch time will be introduced, followed by rest, until full participation in the school day, including all educational and workshop activities.

The integration period is a particularly delicate transition and the times may vary from child to child. For this reason, we ask families for about a week's availability, the time necessary for the child to start building the first routines, essential to feel safe and welcomed.

During this phase, it is essential to maintain constant communication between family and teachers. Collaboration and mutual trust allow supporting the child in the most appropriate way. An integration experienced with serenity promotes the child's well-being, openness to others, and consequently, their willingness to learn.

During the first week of integration, the parent may be asked to stay near the school, so as to provide the child with a reassuring presence if needed.
